With numerous milling machines, grinders, and lathes, Coulson Precision Tooling provides a variety of general machining services. Milling Machines

With a diverse selection of manual mills, CNC milling machines, and machining centers, Coulson Precision Tooling can accommodate almost any job with speed and accuracy for long and short production runs or protype parts. Some of the machines included in our diverse selection of milling machines are two Bridgeport Interact 316 high speed milling machines, and two Bridgeport Interact 2 CNC milling machines, as well as vertical and horizontal manual milling machines. Our Okuma Cadet-Mates, such as the one pictured to the right, top our list of machining centers. The Okuma Cadet-Mates are versatile machines used for both 2 & 3-axis machining for a wide range of jobs. See the graphic below for an example of 3-axis machining.

The graphic to the left is an example of a product designed with CAD software and created with one of our 3-axis machining centers. When our milling machines are programmed with Feature CAM 3D, we are able to machine parts of varying surfaces--complex multi-surface parts--along with parts of simple shapes. This increases productivity and decreases lead-time.

Lathes

Coulson operates 4 lathes, with a capacity 96" long and 26" diameter; we can machine everything from large adapters to small production runs on our Harding Turret Lathe, such as the one pictured to the right.

Grinders

Coulson operates grinders with a grinding width capacity of up to 16" wide and a grinding length capacity of 40" long. The picture to the right shows our fully automated Chevelier FSG-1640 Surface Grinder.

With our carefully selected collection of grinders, our highly skilled grinding department has earned a reputation with area companies for close tolerances. We choose high quality machines to ensure the highest quality and accuracy of your products.
